RESTwithEU Pilot Project
RESTwithEU focuses on identifying and developing digital tools and solutions that meet the needs and diversity of the restaurant sector, with a special focus on SMEs, start-ups and EDIHs. Therefore, the project aims to promote innovation by generating strategies for the future.
The restaurant industry has been slow to adopt technology and innovative digital solutions and due to the impact of COVID-19, this sector had to reinvent itself in order to survive and move forward. Thus, RESTwithEU will support and advise on the digital transformation of this industry through different strategies that are adapted to the needs of each business.
In this regard, the ultimate goal will be to address the main challenges facing the restaurant industry and finally help SMEs restaurants across Europe to follow the best practices.
Innova Next SLU (Barrabés.biz) (ES) will be leading the project, counting on a consolidated experience in running innovation programmes, with a special focus on SMEs digital transition and in creating synergies between start-ups, SMEs and corporate.
Barrabés.biz has also wide experience in operating Project Management Offices for large scale (2M€-10M€) public and private companies, providing its expertise and know-how in innovation, digitalization, and enterprise to actively help leading businesses, public authorities, SMEs, and start-ups. As such, Barrabés.biz is an active associate member of the European Business and Innovation Center Network (EBN https://ebn.eu/). Barrabes.biz counts with a set of tools that help boost innovation spanning from digital platform to physical innovation spaces.

EIT Food CLC South is the EIT Food Innovation hub for Southern Europe. Its main responsibility is to build a dynamic ecosystem aimed to boost innovation involving food stakeholders, working to make the food system more sustainable, healthy and trusted.
With a consumer-centered approach, EIT incorporates the consumers & food influencer’s point of views. contributing to the project with its expertise in the food sector, especially in sustainability, also providing expert advice for the analysis of restaurants supply chain to avoid food loss.
